An exceptional experience and immediately one of our favorite cocktail bars in NYC and the world! All of the drinks were excellent, and we would absolutely love to come back. It’s a busy spot, getting there early is absolutely a must. The inside is cozy, dimly lit, and reminiscent of an old jazz bar. Service is extremely prompt, and if you have space for it the food looks lovely!

I was excited to hear that this bar was opening back up and could not wait to get to NYC to see if they could recapture the ambiance of the original location. Happy to report that while I miss having to walk through the restaurant to get to the bar, the overall vibe, decor and most importantly the drinks all maintained what made this bar special to me in the first place. Great bar in a new “cool” space with very creative drinks.

Worth the visit alone for being a trailblazer in the modern NYC cocktail scene (est.1993). Speakeasy and elevated atmosphere with a beautiful angelic mural, serving tasty and creative Japanese influenced cocktails. Service is great, as expected for the prices. Waits can be long as space is limited and no reservations are taken. Definitely worth a visit.

Cheek to cheek and painted paradise along with Raisin the Roof are top notch and balanced just right. The ambiance is also perfect, enjoyed a good 2 hours here and the waitress are very friendly and attentive. Would be back 100% and this is my new favorite spot in town. Get here early and usually party of 2 can be seated without too long of a wait

A very cozy yet elevated cocktail bar. Quite busy on a Friday evening, but they were able to accommodate us pretty quickly seeing as it was just the two of us. Larger parties had a longer wait time. The cocktails themselves were great. A pretty extensive menu with a wide range across all liquor types. The service was quick.

This is my favorite cocktail place in NYC. You have to wait in line, BUT it’s worth it. Pro tip: go early and they only take up to party of 4 max ( last I checked). I love the soju cocktail, I’ve been to this place 8 times since it reopened, and I’ve taken all my friends there and if you are visiting New York, put it on your list. They used to be in upper Manhattan earlier but now they are in lower east side. It’s also kind of a speakeasy, but you’ll mostly see people in a queue outside, if you dine, it’s the basement of a residential building, 2nd one from the corner. YW!
